Stokx Hacker Top hoodie

Stokx's Hacker Top/Dress is an interesting hoodie pattern with an all-in-one front-and-hood section, cowl neck, raglan style sleeves, and darted shoulders. I cut the top length version, with self-fabric cuffs, in a size 7. The all-in-one front piece is really quite long, as in twice the length of my cutting table. Lots of fun and games.

I used a plain cotton jersey, in teal (but actually more cyan than I'd expected) (95% Cotton 5% Elastic), 220gsm, and Gütermann thread colour 946. I think, in future, a fabric with greater drape would be a better choice. I may also have cut a size too large, because when I hold out my arms the side-seams of the hoodie stick out and hold their shape. The hood is more snug than I prefer. I cannot wear my hair up at all, and if I wear it down the hood is a bit pointy. So a next time would see me making it bigger. Overall comfy top, with unique design.

An almost bell-shaped hoodie (with no zip), and raglan style shoulder seams, in a light-blue teal jersey fabric, back view showing the hood. On a grey hanger, against a white wardrobe.
