Seamwork Julia tank top

Seamwork's Julia is a nice quick knit tank top style top. I picked up a metre of tricot jersey on sale. It is shinier, and more athletic fabric feeling in person than I'd expected, but tank tops are flexible, so I ran it up anyway. Very quick; cut front and back from one metre, stitch the shoulders, and then the side seams. I tried using fold-over-elastic as binding on the armholes but it was really bad lettuce. So I ripped it out, and overcast the edges, turned them over, and stitched in place. For arms, neck, and hem. Lovely way to wake up the sewing muscles.

I have taken to applying fold over elastic with a bias binding foot, and I love it. Medium zigzag, shortish stitch, and just go for it.
