chebeLast weekend I took a "Beginner's Leather-Craft Workshop" at the Dublin Leather Store. They warned us we'd be tired afterwards, but did not convey just how tired. It's like sewing, but on hard mode. I had a great time, and am fairly hooked.
Basically, we got pieces of 'pink' natural vegetable tanned leather, cut it, dyed it with water-based dyes, buffed with balm, marked and punched stitch holes, stitched closed, then finished by burnishing edges or applying a wax coat.
